Apply a cleaning solution.
If you have a more substantial coffee spill or the coffee stain is already dry you can use a homemade carpet cleaner or a powerful commercial cleaning product to remove the stain.
There are many commercial carpet cleaners on the market that are formulated individually to tackle tough coffee stains.
Alternatively you can combine 1 tablespoon of dish soap 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water.
Mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap one tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of warm water.
To remove a coffee stain from your carpet start by mixing a solution of 2 cups of warm water and 1 4 cup of lemon juice.
The idea is to remove as much of the coffee liquid as possible before you attack the stain.
While you can use a carpet stain remover at this point you could also make your own solution.
Use a clean cloth to apply the solution to the stain again moving from the outside toward the middle.
