Never add vinegar to your steam mop. Vinegar and baking soda are both safe for use on tile floors when combined. Use a spray bottle and microfiber mop. Spray the vinegar and water solution on the floor and wipe it up with the mop.

For cleaning unfinished hardwood floors fill the bucket with warm water and white vinegar. Dunk the mop head into the vinegar solution and wring out any excess liquid. Vinegar water is the safest combo for cleaning. Stir the mixture until all the lumps are dissolved.
