Make sure you do not use apple cider vinegar balsamic vinegar or any other variety that is not clear as they can stain your flagstones.
When you have to clean with soap make sure it is a neutral cleaner with a ph of about 7.
Make sure to rinse your mop often.
Sweep your flagstone regularly with a dry broom or dust mop to remove dust dirt and debris.
Mop your flagstone floors using an up and down motion.
Cleaning should be done using a sponge a soft cloth or a very soft brush to avoid that the surface is scratched and is done making circles.
Spray your flagstones with the vinegar and water solution being careful not to soak any nearby vegetation.
If your floors are especially dirty you may have to change your water more than once.
Pro clean mixed with water is my go to cleaning solution for most natural stone floors as it works well to lift out ingrained dirt and stains.
Always make sure that the floor is well rinsed and then dry with a clean cloth.
Natural stone soap and water are an effective way to clean your flagstone floor.
Later one must clean very well and dry the surface soon with a soft towel.
Sweep during your regular cleaning routine after a gathering or after a wind has come through.
I did this using a weak solution of tile doctor pro clean and clean water the concentration is adjusted according to the level of soil build up.
